Sanity in a multicat household

The ultimate luxury: a human cat bed
There are numerous products in the market place that claim to be beneficial for multicat households. The problem is, they don't explain how they are beneficial.  Do they help a human retain her sanity when outnumbered by cats?  The answer is no.  What would help a human stay sane when ruled by a pack of felines?  Beats the hell out of me.  But certainly more time and money could be allocated for the study of this problem.

Instead, at least once a week, we are treated to the results of yet another scientific study on whether or not dogs think and feel.  This is such a waste of time and money.  Everybody already knows dogs think and feel.  It's the dog "owners" or "crazy dog men" that I wonder about.  Maybe they feel, but do they think?  The answer?  Not usually.  Why do scientists spend so much time studying dogs instead of cats?  The answer to that is simple.  Cats are too smart to fall for that scientific hocus pocus.  Cats have been covertly conducting their own studies of humans for ages.  Felines could teach humanity a few things about ourselves, if felines were so inclined.  By the way, they are not so inclined.

Until the scientific community stops chasing its tails, what do humans owned by cats do to survive and thrive?  Well, there is one crucial personality trait worth developing.  This trait is called obedience.  Mind your feline masters and all will be well.
